E-map of Iran is integrated into the navigation system of Azerbaijan

Electronic map of Iran can be included in the navigation system GoMap (gomap.az). Gomap.az is initiated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan and SINAM is the project’s contractor.

Integration of the electronic map of Iran into GoMap is discussed at present.

“Another novelty is achievement of the basic agreement with the Turkish company Infotech on including electronic map of Turkey in GoMap. This project can be realized at the level of partnership with the mentioned company. But some technical issues have to be resolved for full integration of the navigation map of Turkey into GoMap”, – it was reported in the company.

GoMap allows to define uniform route in the territory of Azerbaijan and Georgia. Expansion of the coverage of GoMap will make this service useful for the tourists visiting Turkey. Visiting tourist zones of Turkey will be more convenient after extension of the map, especially for the car owners as all traffic signs and regulations will be considered.

GoMap is one of the first resources in the South Caucasus and Central Asia, developed on the basis of cloud technologies. The function of laying out a route is also integrated into the map. Besides, the electronic map contains photos and descriptions of historical and cultural monuments.
